Spotlight on Taiwanese pop singer Elva Hsiao(蕭亞軒).....

Taiwanese pop singer Elva Hsiao was born on August 24, 1980 in Taipei, Taiwan. She was scouted in 1999 as she took part in a TVB talent search and got into the finals. Elva was originally signed to Virgin Records Taiwan, a sub-label of EMI, which created the stage name of 蕭亞軒 for her. Her self-titled début album in 1999 sold over 1 million copies in Asia and cemented her status in the Chinese music industry.
she was the top Taiwanese female artist. her second album broke the sales record by all the Taiwanese artists. As the contract ended in the summer of 2004, for a year, she rested as record companies fought over her next contract and Warner Music won the battle in the end, making her Warner's "fifth queen". She won countless awards and is the favorite spokesperson for many leading brands. In Taiwan, she has done television commercials for a wide diversity of major brands such as Avon, De Beers, Motorola, Pantene, and Sprite. Moreover, she has had film roles in two movies: "Infernal Affairs" (2002) and "The Butterfly Lovers" (2004).
Elva is versatile. She is renowned for her powerful, mature and pretty voice. She plays both the piano and flute,She speaks and writes some English, due to having lived for a year or two during her highschool years in Vancouver, Canada.
Here is one of my favorite music video from her,its from her fifth single called "Honey Honey Honey.

Elva is not only beautiful and talented, she also have lovely voice, i am sure she is destine for more great things.

Thank you for introducing us to these talented singers.

I just discovered someone that you may find interesting, although you may already be familiar with him. His name is Hao Ge (郝歌), originally Uwechue Emmanuel. He's a Liberian astro-physicist who's becoming a pop sensation in mainland China. He sings songs in Mandarin in a variety of styles, from traditional to a more R&B style. You can find Chinese interviews with him on YouTube. Wikipedia says that he has been asked to sing at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and is currently seeking Chinese citizenship.
