Li Mao Shan and Lin Shu Rong in concert again.......

For those familiar with the late 80s Taiwanese music scene, Li Mao Shan (李茂山) and Lin Shu Rong (林淑容) would be recognizable names. Even if you are not a fan, you would have heard of their hit duet “Wu Yan De Jie Ju” which took the Chinese music scene by storm and had everyone singing along at karaoke in the 80s. i just learn that the two will be performing together again on june 7 for their first ever concert in Singapore!that would be an event of a life time to go to.

I used to hear this song all the time when i was a Kid, Again this song brought back some good memories.

I found these old pictures of Dad in the garage, i did not even know i had these, the first one was taken in Taiwan in 92 when he went back home for vacation.

My dad is the one on the left with friends.

Dad is the first on the right in this recent photo in Malawi, southern Africa, he just told us hes been assign to the south pacific island of Nauru.

A day in the life of the Liu's family........

I took my little girl out for ice cream today, and i just sat there and watched her eat scoops after scoops of Ice cream, it was just a year ago when i had to hold her bottle because her tiny fingers were not strong enough to hold them, now can you believe she don't even want me to help her hold the spoon.

The smoothing voice of Terry Lin 林志炫..........

Taiwanese singer Terry Lin 林志炫 has a voice so smooththing, and his songs are so beautiful, you can almost mistake his voice for an angel. here is a video of him perfoming a Minnan Song about ten years ago when this show was brocast.
The guy has Amazing vocals, and this is by far one of my favorite songs by Terry.

Beautiful Hokkien song from Taiwan...

Here is one of my all time favorite Taiwanese song sang in Hokkien a dialect in Taiwan.
Many other artists including Timi Zhou have their own randition of the song, but i like this randition of the song by Joyce Lim the best.
the song is call 爱拼才会赢 which means, Keep working hard to succeed.

I am not sure if Joyce Lim is Taiwanese, i always thought she was Malaysian, But who cares right? the sing is still great.
